A CNA is a skilled individual who possesses general knowledge of the nursing profession. Her/his duty is to assist the RN's and LVN's
in patient care and other needs in the nursing unit. She/he is responsible for providing direct
care activities under the direction the direction of the RN/LVN which includes
bathing, feeding, toileting, personal hygiene, and assist with activities of
the patient in a safe and efficient manner.
The CNA must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to
the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Scope of service includes the provision of care to patients with general surgical conditions, illness, or
injury and patients with acute exacerbation of chronic medical conditions.
Communicates and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and the department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
