The LVN, Medical-Surgical Unit, works primarily in a support role to the RN in assisting with the execution of the Nursing Process. He/she assumes responsibility for providing basic nursing care in a safe, appropriate and effective manner under the direction of an RN in compliance with the LVN Practice Act. The LVN seeks direction and validation from the assigned RN frequently throughout the shift and interacts with patient and other health care providers in concert with and as directed by the responsible RN. Scope of service includes the provision of care to patients with general surgical conditions, illness, or injury and patients with acute exacerbation of chronic medical conditions. Pediatric patients are admitted on an infrequent basis. Communicates and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and the department.
Knowledge of licensing and regulatory agency standards including but not limited to Title 22, Medicare Conditions of Participation, OSHPD, CDC and OSHA
Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to exercise phone etiquette and excellent customer service.
Knowledgeable of collaborating with the licensed nursing staff to prioritize, plan, organize the clerical and patient flow functions of the unit.
Knowledgeable of medical terminology
Demonstrates ability to coordinate with specific departments regarding patient transfers, admits/discharges.
Ability to adapt to change with the workload, accept added responsibilities within the scope of practice.
Demonstrates technical skills in relation to position that facilitates the delivery of patient care.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Located in Blythe, CA.
Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California.
Current CPR certification required.
Must be IV certified.
Basic arrhythmia course required.
Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred, with successful completion of orientation and training to the point of competence.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
